Quinta do Vale da Páscoa (Ecoaldeia do Vale)

Quinta do Vale da Páscoa, also known as Ecoaldeia do Vale, is a farm and guesthouse in Póvoa de Midões, Tábua, in the Beiras. Karin Immerzeel and Jan van Loon, a Dutch couple, run it as a luxury B&B under the name Quinta Vale Porcacho, alongside organic farming across the property. The ecological infinity pool looks out over the valley. Its water is kept clear by natural biological filtration. Guests stay either in the guest rooms or in a nature cottage, each designed for comfort, privacy and sustainability. Sustainability shapes how the buildings are made, how the place is run day to day and how the land is farmed. There's a large vegetable garden, fruit and nut trees, vineyards producing red and white grapes for the house wine, and olive groves that supply their own olive oil. It's a working farm, so guests can see the regenerative farming up close and take part in it. The quinta sits between Lisbon and Porto, which makes it a base for exploring rural Portugal, the Serra da Estrela and the Mondego valley. It also takes groups of up to 20 people for multi-day training sessions, management conferences, coaching retreats and small celebrations. During the peak agricultural seasons, Karin and Jan look for volunteers to help with the farm work and learn about ecological practice on a working farm.
