Valérius 360 is a Portuguese circular economy company based in Barcelos that recycles textile waste into recycled yarns, jersey fabrics, and new clothing at a capacity of 6 tonnes per day.

Valérius 360 is a visionary circular economy company within the Portuguese textile sector, headquartered in Barcelos with a factory in Vila do Conde. Operating under the motto 'Resourcing the Future', it addresses one of fashion's most pressing environmental challenges: the vast quantities of textile waste generated by excessive consumerism, overproduction, and rapid garment disposal. The company collects cutting waste, unsold stocks, and overproduction from brands and manufacturers, transforming these materials into recycled yarns, jersey fabrics, and finished garments. With a recycled yarn production capacity of 6 tonnes per day, Valérius 360 operates at industrial scale, proving that circular principles can function viably within mainstream textile manufacturing. Launched around 2017–2018 as part of the Valérius Group's ten-year strategy to pivot towards sustainability, the company is closely linked to Valérius Hub, a responsible fashion platform positioning it as a key enabler for brands seeking to reduce their environmental footprint. The company's philosophy mirrors nature's own processes — a never-ending closed loop where nothing is lost and everything is transformed. By intercepting waste at every stage of the garment lifecycle, from production offcuts to end-of-life clothing, Valérius 360 works to prevent textile materials from ending up in landfill or incineration, reducing pollution of air, water, and land. Valérius 360 also operates a dedicated online store and maintains an active presence at industry events, advocating for public policies supporting circular economy practices in textiles and fashion. The project has received recognition and funding, including from Portugal's Resilience Fund, underlining its strategic importance for the country's sustainable industrial transition.

Our Goal

To transform textile waste — cutting scraps, overproduction, and unsold stock — into recycled yarns, fabrics, and garments at industrial scale, closing the loop on fashion's environmental impact.

Our Wishes

Valérius 360 seeks partnerships with fashion brands and manufacturers willing to supply textile waste and adopt recycled materials, alongside continued support for public policies promoting circular economy practices in the textile sector.
