This is the infrastructure layer of a sustainable life: where the power comes from, where the water goes, and how you move between the two. In a country with long summers and shortening rivers, water is the question that keeps returning.
Cleanwatts builds solar energy communities, where neighbours share what a roof generates instead of each buying their own system. Alongside it sit off-grid households, rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse and reed-bed purification, and the drought-adaptation work that the Alentejo in particular has been forced into.
