Circular products and conscious consumption in Portugal

This is the part of sustainable living you meet in a shop rather than on a farm: what a thing is made of, how far it travelled, how long it lasts, and what happens to it afterwards.

SENSIHEMP works in hemp textiles. Green Embassy makes botanical design pieces. Beside them are makers and shops working on zero waste, upcycling, plastic-free alternatives, natural personal care, and repair rather than replacement, tool libraries and repair cafés included.

The focus filter splits it into zero waste living, eco-friendly products, handmade and local crafts, sustainable fashion, plastic-free alternatives, upcycling and repurposing, recycling systems, natural personal care, minimalism and conscious consumption, tool libraries and repair cafés, ethical shopping platforms and ethical investing. Most of these are small producers; buying from them is usually a direct conversation, and their pages carry the contact details for it. Dated activities from these projects are listed in our events calendar.
